This Refund Policy explains how refunds, cancellations, renewals, and payment disputes are handled for Ritual Brief, operated by ritualbrief.com (“Ritual Brief,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By purchasing, subscribing to, or renewing any paid product, subscription, membership, newsletter, digital service, or other offering provided through Ritual Brief, you agree to this Refund Policy, together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Disclaimer.
1. General Policy
Ritual Brief provides digital editorial products and services. Because access to digital content, newsletters, memberships, and related materials may be delivered immediately or shortly after purchase, all payments are generally final except as expressly stated in this Refund Policy or as required by applicable law.
We may approve or deny refund requests in our discretion, subject to this Policy and applicable consumer protection laws.
2. Subscription Renewals
Subscription fees are billed on a recurring basis according to the billing cycle selected at checkout, such as monthly, annually, or any other stated billing period.
You are responsible for cancelling your subscription before the next billing date if you do not want to be charged for a renewal. Cancelling a subscription stops future billing but does not automatically refund charges already processed.
3. Seven-Day Renewal Refund Window
Refunds are not provided for past renewals more than seven (7) calendar days old from the billing date.
If you were charged for a renewal and want to request a refund, you must contact us within seven (7) calendar days of the renewal billing date. Refund requests submitted more than seven (7) calendar days after the billing date are not eligible for a refund, except where required by applicable law.
For example, if your renewal was billed on April 1, your refund request must be received no later than April 8.
4. No Prorated Refunds
Unless required by applicable law or expressly approved by Ritual Brief in writing, we do not provide prorated refunds for partially used subscription periods, unused access, failure to log in, failure to read content, dissatisfaction after continued use, or accidental failure to cancel before renewal.
If you cancel during a paid subscription period, you may continue to have access until the end of the then-current billing period, unless your account is suspended or terminated under our Terms of Service.
5. New Purchases
For new purchases, subscriptions, memberships, or digital products, refund eligibility will depend on the nature of the product, the timing of the request, whether access has already been provided, and whether applicable law requires a refund.
We reserve the right to deny refund requests where the product or service has already been delivered, accessed, downloaded, consumed, or used.
6. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, contact us at hello@ritualbrief.com with the following information:
- The email address associated with your account or purchase.
- The date of the charge.
- The amount charged.
- The reason for the refund request.
- Any relevant payment confirmation or receipt.
We may request additional information to verify your identity, locate the transaction, prevent fraud, or determine refund eligibility.
7. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. Processing times may vary depending on your bank, card issuer, payment processor, or payment method.
Refund approval does not guarantee that funds will appear immediately in your account.
8. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you believe a charge was made in error, you should contact us first at hello@ritualbrief.com so we can review and attempt to resolve the issue promptly.
You should not initiate a chargeback, payment reversal, or payment dispute for a valid charge simply to avoid the refund rules in this Policy. Fraudulent, abusive, excessive, or bad-faith chargebacks are not permitted and may result in immediate account suspension, cancellation of access, denial of future refund requests, and placement on an internal account blocklist that prevents future signups or purchases.
Repeat chargeback abuse, fraudulent payment disputes, or repeated attempts to obtain services without payment may result in a permanent ban from the Ritual Brief platform.
Nothing in this Policy limits any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable law, including lawful rights to dispute unauthorized or billing-error charges with your payment provider.
9. Failed Payments and Access Suspension
If a payment fails, is reversed, is disputed, or is flagged as fraudulent, we may suspend or terminate access to paid features, subscriptions, memberships, or content until the payment issue is resolved.
We may also cancel accounts associated with unpaid balances, payment fraud, abusive refund behavior, or repeated billing disputes.
10. Promotional Offers, Trials, and Discounts
Promotional offers, free trials, discounted subscriptions, coupon-based purchases, and limited-time offers may be subject to additional terms disclosed at checkout or in the applicable promotion.
Unless otherwise stated, promotional payments and discounted charges are subject to the same refund rules as standard purchases and renewals.
11. Changes to This Refund Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Changes apply prospectively unless otherwise stated or required by law.
Your continued use of Ritual Brief after a revised Refund Policy is posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
